Roxana Moisa

Teacher of Psychology

My name is Iulia-Roxana Moisă, and I am a Psychology and PSHE teacher. I have always had a passion for education and applied behavior analysis, fascinated by how behavior influences our lives and how we shape ourselves through our actions to succeed both personally and professionally.

In 2007, I began working with various age groups—children, young people, and adults—developing individualized intervention plans across all areas of development based on each person’s specific needs. Educating children to become independent is one of my passions, a pursuit that fulfills me on many levels.

I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at A.I. Cuza University in Iași, specializing in Educational Psychology and Counseling. In 2021, I completed my master’s degree at Clemson University in South Carolina, in the Department of Applied Behavior Analysis, becoming a Certified Behavior Analyst.

I have primarily worked as a psychologist with children and young people with special needs, focusing on all aspects of integrating them into mainstream schools or kindergartens. I am a strong advocate for education for all, a commitment I owe to my daughter, Anca, who has Down syndrome. She taught me to believe in each person’s potential to become their best self, and that it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to achieve the best results. I also believe that everyone has special gifts meant to bear fruit in others, and it is our duty to nurture those gifts through our words and especially through our actions.

In my free time, I like to think of myself as an artist. I enjoy painting, singing, dancing, and, more than anything, playing with my daughter. Making study both effective and enjoyable is a motto I am currently shaping.

I joined the Avenor team because I discovered that we share the same principles and values, and through this, I found a new passion in my heart: teaching psychology and, more importantly, teaching students how to study and how to turn learning into a genuine passion.

I believe that just as much as students learn from me, I have much to learn from them. Psychology is not about reading minds or manipulating people, but about helping oneself and others live joyfully, understanding the functions of the behaviors we exhibit, their causes, and thus, the actions we need to take to make the necessary changes and become what we are called to be: the best versions of ourselves.

Let us rejoice in what we experience in the present and also look forward with enthusiasm to what the future holds for us.
