Maria Alexandra Mihaiu

Nursery Teacher

My passion for education began in childhood when I enjoyed sharing the knowledge I had accumulated with those around me. During high school, I realized that I had a natural inclination for explaining complex concepts in an accessible way. This led me to a career in education, where I can positively influence children’s lives, instill in them a curiosity for knowledge, and guide them in discovering their own talents. In my view, the role of a teacher is much more than just conveying information – it is about shaping characters, inspiring, and creating an environment where each student feels valued and motivated.

In 2018, I graduated from the “Mihai Eminescu” National College in Constanța, specializing in Natural Sciences, with an intensive focus on English. During my time there, I also earned the ECDL certificate. I continued my educational journey by attending the Faculty of Letters at Ovidius University, specializing in Romanian-English. In 2023, I completed my academic journey at that institution and, under the auspices of the Faculty of Letters, I completed the Teacher Training Program. Additionally, I gained advanced English language skills, obtaining the Cambridge certificate. Later, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Intercultural Management, within the UNESCO Chair at the University of Bucharest. This opportunity provided me with a deeper perspective on the coexistence and interaction of multiple cultures within a given space or context, whether educational or social.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in various educational settings, which has allowed me to develop strong pedagogical skills and to adopt teaching strategies tailored to each student. I started as a specialized educator at Brainy Center, where I learned the importance of patience and adaptability. Since 2024, I have joined the team at Avenor College, where I continue to develop my teaching methods, always keeping in mind the needs and particularities of each student.

Beyond my professional career, I am defined by a deep connection with nature, a true source of inspiration and balance in my life. I have also dedicated part of my time to volunteer activities with the ‘Mare Nostrum NGO’, and in my spare time, I enjoy exploring nature and discovering new cultures through travel.

At Avenor, my dream is to contribute to the formation of a generation of young people capable of thinking critically, being curious, and pursuing their passions with confidence. I aspire to be a trusted mentor for students, encouraging them to discover and develop their unique abilities and supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
