Maria – Diana Petre
Nursery Teacher
My name is Maria-Diana Petre and my journey at Avenor started in 2020. That year was full of ups and downs that taught me how to teach in different ways and situations: online, hybrid, onsite and many other ways. Throughout the years I’ve been teaching in all the groups, starting from Nursery Green, Blue, Reception and Year One.
I have wanted to teach since I was a child. The feeling of knowing that you are the one who is building the path of education for children is amazing! My love for teaching comes from a very dear family member. I like to inspire children, to innovate, to bring joy and smiles to those little faces and make them feel extremely happy when they see the nursery.
I graduated from the Pedagogical High School where I learned everything that I know about lesson planning and classroom management. I possess a certificate for teaching English in a Nursery and Primary School.
In my opinion, a teacher plays a very important role in shaping the education of young children. To me, the first years in the nursery are the most important. These years help prepare children for the society that we live in. I can’t describe in words how happy it makes me feel that I am able to be a part of this amazing community of teaching. I have to be honest, being a teacher is not the easiest job in the world, but when I see that I am appreciated for what I do, I know that it deserves all the effort. I am very crafty, a favorite saying of mine describes my attitude: „give me a rock and a stick and I will take you to the moon with it!”.
I consider myself a very cheerful and positive person. Children give me my daily dose of happiness. I am very proud to say that I am a teacher and I encourage everyone who wants to take this path, to do so. I love being surrounded by children because they fill me up with good energy and positive vibes.
