I joined the team at Avenor Nursery School in 2014 and I had the opportunity to be a teacher for all the age ranges from Nursery to Year One which gave me the chance to collaborate with wonderful children, colleagues and parents at the same time.
I have gained knowledge of accommodating different styles of learners and I incorporate effective methods to meet my students’ needs. I have developed my professional path during these years gaining experience and becoming Science Subject Leader, Curriculum Monitor and Mentor.
After spending a year on the Greenfield campus, I am happy to have the opportunity to bring the experience I’ve gained so far into the school.
I have spent over a decade nurturing young minds, developing a deep understanding of early childhood education. My experience has equipped me with the skills to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that ensure a smooth transition for children moving from nursery to primary school.
I graduated from the University of Bucharest in 2009, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and I have been working with children ever since I was a student. At first, I began working with children with special needs. I then rediscovered myself when I learnt of the British Curriculum in a private institution. Since 2012, I have had an amazing experience working with children aged between 2 and 6 years.
I believe in a child-centred approach to education, where the individual needs and learning styles of each student are prioritised. My teaching philosophy is focused on creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning. Continuous professional growth and reflective practice are integral to my approach, ensuring that my teaching methods remain effective and relevant.
Every day spent with the children brings me joy, and their creative ideas, willingness to explore and to be part of their life-journey fulfils me. What motivates me the most as a teacher is focusing on the welfare of children and seeing them enjoying themselves with broad smiles.
I’m looking forward to starting a new journey together and I’m sure we’ll have a great school year!
