Teacher of Arts

Education is one of the most beautiful expressions of art. Teachers have the noble mission of shaping behaviors and developing human qualities. I am convinced that the true and supreme purpose in life is to become, through education, not only successful but also people of value.

My connection to the world of education spans multiple generations in my family. I grew up in an environment where other family members were also teachers, and I was deeply influenced and inspired to follow the same path. My family heritage has taught me the importance of education and the power of sharing knowledge with others. This has motivated me to dedicate my professional life to the learning and development of students through visual arts.

My education in art began in middle school, where I learned the basic techniques of painting, drawing, and modeling. Then, in 2003, at an art high school, I began my training and formation in the field of design.

In 2007, I was admitted to the University of Art in Bucharest and the Faculty of Art in Timișoara, where I decided to pursue my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Textile Arts and Design. In 2012, I also completed the teacher training courses, modules 1 and 2, which trained me specifically to work with students and to stimulate their creativity through methods appropriate to their age.

The year 2011 brought me the joy of obtaining an Erasmus scholarship at the Estonian Academy of Arts in the capital Tallinn, for a period of 12 months. This achievement helped me to develop my skills, consolidate my knowledge, and discover my passion for the world’s multiculturality and traditions. Art is a universal language that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers, and through it, I encourage my students to explore and understand different artistic and cultural perspectives.

I have had the privilege of working as a teacher since 2010, in art workshops and clubs, where I have created and taught courses in photography, illustration, and fashion design for schoolchildren. In 2014, I began a wonderful collaboration with kindergartens in Bucharest, where I organized and taught painting courses in English. My connection with preschoolers and working with them has made me realize the abundant human creative potential, manifested without constraints or fears: “Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up” is an idea found in the writings of the brilliant Pablo Picasso.

The year 2019 marked the beginning of my experience as a lecturer in the graphics department at a private art academy. Here I have capitalized on the experience accumulated over the years, I have designed and taught complete study programs in the field of graphic arts, I have carried out mentoring activities and guided portfolio projects, in collaboration with applicants to art universities in Europe.

The deep connection with the students and the love for art have motivated me to be an involved and passionate teacher, offering children not only artistic skills but also confidence in their own creativity, discovering together the miraculous power of encouragement.

I have developed a pedagogical approach based on empathy, I know how to create a friendly, supportive but also professional environment, and from the school year 2023, I want each student of the Avenor College, with whom I will interact, to feel inspired, confident and to enjoy the process of artistic creation.

I am delighted to be part of the Avenor team and to contribute to the development of the creativity, skills and aesthetic sensitivity of our students.
