Alexandra Pădurariu

Learning Assistant

By starting my career as a learning assistant and future teacher, I am fulfilling my lifelong dream that I have had since childhood, that of being able to teach and to contribute to the education and the academic, emotional and social development of children. I felt attracted to this field, and to the English language in particular, throughout all of my years as a pupil and as a student. My academic and professional endeavors were, consequently, influenced by my desire to become a teacher.

In 2018 I graduated from the ‘’August Treboniu Laurian’’ National College in Botoșani, Philology section, Bilingual English profile. I found myself inspired by my English teachers, who guided, supported and encouraged me to further pursue my vocation and to apply for a university program taught fully in English. I decided to pursue my studies at the Faculty of Letters at the ‘’Alexandru Ioan Cuza’’ University of Iași, specializing in ”English and Romanian Language and Literature”, a program which I graduated from in 2021. During my studies, I also completed the first level of the Psycho Pedagogical Module, thus becoming certified to teach both English and Romanian at secondary school level.

Having just moved to Bucharest I accepted a teaching assistant position at a nursery. This job was my first contact with the educational system and it helped me develop strong communication and teamwork skills. In 2022, I enrolled at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bucharest, choosing the ‘’British Cultural Studies’’ Master’s program, which I graduated in 2024. It was here that I became even more acquainted with British literature, history and culture, thus continuing my incessant contact with the English Language.

A passion I discovered during my undergraduate studies was Freudian psychology, which was also the subject of both my BA and MA theses. In my spare time, I find my peace in nature and literature and I try to travel as much as possible.

It gives me great pleasure to join the Avenor team, with whom I strive to form harmonious and fruitful relationships and, last but not least, to accompany my students through their beautiful educational journey.
