Career and student programmes counselor

THE CONTEXT

We are a non-profit school for students aged 2-19 school, founded in 2007. We opened as a nursery school, and the first students entered the High School in 2015. Our first A-level class graduated in 2019.

Most of our students are Romanian and we have responded to a demand from families in Bucharest for the best of a British education. We are proud to be recognised by the recent BSO inspection, in March 2023 as “outstanding” in all standards. We are more than a traditional British School: we are rooted in both British and Romanian traditions, with our identity and practice also informed by other international practices. We are a proud school and believe in our heritage and legacy.

Our teaching staff is a mixture of Romanian, British and other nationalities.

We deliver outstanding examination results, but we know that education is more than that – as a result, we have developed an excellent reputation for innovation. Our innovative practice includes a programme of Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC), that enables our students to meet the Avenor Learner profile (link here). The programme was recognised internationally by being awarded the Career Mark in February 2023.
