How can an educator influence eternity? What resources are necessary to generate a perpetual positive change in the world? These are the questions that led me to education, a journey fueled by a thirst for knowledge and the ambition for constant growth.

In 2009, I graduated from “Nicu Gane” National College, majoring in Philology – intensive English and French, and motivated by my passion for writing, I decided to study Journalism and Communication Sciences at “Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca. In the last two years of university, I was part of a Non-Governmental Organization – ADESCO, whose goal was the social inclusion of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Cluj County. As a Camp Leader and Mentor, I felt my heart grow among the children, and I discovered within myself a sense of responsibility for their quality of life and the impact I could have on their holistic development. Alongside these achievements, I also realized that I needed to learn more about Psychopedagogy.

Therefore, in 2014, I decided to move to London, where I pursued the psychopedagogical course for the teaching profession in British Preschool Settings – NVQ Level 3. The years spent in London allowed me to build my understanding of the standards set by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and provided me with a platform to implement its characteristics. Also in London, I learned about the Jolly Phonics Program and its teaching structure. I felt an immense joy to be able to teach through songs, as I have a deep passion for singing.

After establishing a foundation in Early Years Education in London, I continued to live the role of Educator in Leipzig – Germany, Cadiz – Spain, Cairo – Egypt. My latest professional experience in Egypt, at Kompass School, encouraged me to continue growing in a differentiated learning environment, centered on the child and their individuality, without the rigidity felt in traditional settings.

I am grateful for this experience, as it made space for a lot of creativity and musicality in the daily routine, and the curriculum implementation was possible through progressive methods such as Project-Based Learning, Forest School, and creating relevant environments, considering in this process each child’s sociocultural particularities, preferences, abilities, and interests.

I trust that these methods will be the pillars of my learning facilitation approach in the role of EYFS Phonics teacher at Avenor College, and through these methods, the children that I will have the pleasure of guiding will feel supported, appreciated, and encouraged to explore and pursue their dreams.

When I am not among children, I love cooking, singing, and hiking. An experience that allowed me to build on healthy values was Camino de Santiago, a 775 km hike across northern Spain, completed in 34 days.

I understand that the questions from which I started my journey in Education do not have a static, final answer, and this realization indicates that the educator is, alongside the children, in a continuous learning process, in a world of constant innovation.
