Oana Cârlan
Nursery Counsellor
My name is Oana Cârlan and I am happy to continue my activity at Avenor Nursery as a counselor, PSHE teacher and club teacher. I started my journey in Avenor in 2015 and I used to teach children from all the age ranges.
My professional pathway started in High School, where I graduated with double specialisation: Nursery and Primary teacher. I continued with a bachelor diploma in Psychology and then I studied at the European Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy for Children and Teeenagers.
I am accredited to work as an integrative psychotherapist by the College of Psychologists in Romania, and I regularly attend external professional supervision sessions to improve the quality of my therapeutic work.
I have been working with children for more than 16 years in different environments. Over the years I attended a diversity of courses which offered me the opportunity to constantly learn. This is one of my highest values in life, alongside caring for others and protecting nature. Being a mother of 2 lovely kids, brought a deeper understanding of a child’s mind and heart, which allows me to admire and celebrate even more each person’s uniqueness and authenticity even more.
In the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in various projects, such as ‘The Integrated Programme for Mothers and Children up to 2 Years Old’ and ‘School from Home,’ which I will continue to support this year as well.
I learned from the children to enjoy every single moment, to be present in any relationship and to be happy just because another day, with infinite possibilities, just started.
