Form Tutor 4 Omega

In 2011, I graduated from the Pedagogy Section of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Bucharest. At the same time, I started my teaching activity within the Children’s Education Foundation, a non-profit organisation that runs educational programs for children between 5 and 14 years old.

I continued my professional training with a master degree in Management and Evaluation of Educational Organisations and Programmes of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. Out of the desire to be involved as much as possible in children’s formation and development, I attended the courses of the Department for Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education, at the University of Bucharest, having a double specialisation: primary school teacher and preschool teacher. In 2017 I obtained the TKT CLIL certificate and in 2019 the Young Learners certificate offered by the British Council Bucharest.

I joined the Avenor team in 2015. I had the opportunity to meet and work with all primary school students. My focus was to help students of Pregătitoare to adapt to the school’s requirements, collaborating permanently with the team of teachers. With a positive attitude and good cooperation, I perfected myself in terms of designing, conducting and evaluating the learning activity. Thus, I had the opportunity to develop my abilities to teach educational content and to train students’ skills. Teaching and co-teaching classes have helped me to discover and implement different learning and classroom management strategies. Demonstrative lessons, educational projects within PBL, Crafty Hands and Sudoku club contributed to my didactic improvement. The courses and workshops provided by our school as part of the Professional Development Program, such as Teaching Mathematics in the Bilingual School and What’s Worth Learning … and Why?, have provided me with learning experiences that impact the way I plan, teach and give feedback that will directly benefit my students.

I want to create a safe environment for children, an environment where they can express themselves freely without feeling judged, where they understand that making mistakes is part of learning. I aim to always be by their side, supporting and encouraging them to overcome more difficult tasks, enjoying the journey in the universe of learning and discovery.
